Smoked Salmon Canapes

- 1 French bread stick
- 1 package cream cheese
- 5 tbsp finely sliced chives
- 5 tbsp very finely chopped red onion
- 4 tbsp of pickled capers (optional)
- Sliced smoked salmon
- Optional - a little dill and creme fraiche for decoration
- Finely dice red onion and chives
- Bash capers flat with a knife and run them through once or twice with the knife to very roughly chop them
- Incorporate the red onion, capers and chives into the cream cheese
- Slice the French bread at a slight diagonal
- Spread cream cheese mixture onto the top of each piece and place a small piece of salmon, rolled, on top
- Garnish with dill, chives, and/or creme fraiche
