Ginger Molasses Cookies

- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 and 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 tbsp fresh ground / grated ginger
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 2 and 1/4 cup flour
- Chopped crystallized ginger - optional
- Mix ingredients
- Chill for at least an hour or so
- Roll into 1.5 inch balls, roll in granulated sugar, and gently press slightly flat
- Heat oven to 350 degrees
- Cook 13-14 min
- Makes about 65 cookies in a double
