- 1 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp water
- 6 peppercorns
- 2 cloves
- Dash allspice
- 1 bay leaf
- Put ingredients in pot, make a spice ball with spices
- Boil, reduce heat, cover for 1 1/4 hours
- Thicken with starch, boil 1-2 minutes
